The new Makito X4 offers power, quality and flexibility for real-time HEVC/AVC video encoding in a compact appliance or rack-mountable blade. Designed for the most-demanding live video applications, the Makito X4 can ingest full 4K UHD or up to four HD inputs with 10-bit pixel depth and 4:2:2 chroma subsampling.

Designed for the live broadcast professional that wants to do more with less, the new single-channel Makito X4 encoder features all the same capabilities as the popular quad-channel Makito X4, but with a single HD/UHD channel configuration and at a lower price point. The  single-channel model can encode 4K, HD, and SD at up to full 2160p50/60 4K UHD or 1080p50/60 HD video sources with 4:2:2 10-bit H.264/AVC and H.265/HEVC and ultra-low latency, just like the quad-channel Makito X4.
