They are the original inventor of the widely adopted SRT (Secure Reliable Transport) low-latency video streaming protocol, initially developed to optimise streaming performance across unpredictable networks. Haivision open sourced this award-winning protocol and founded the SRT Alliance to support its adoption. SRT quickly became a widely adopted standard endorsed by over 450 companies, including top names in broadcast and cloud technologies, and is now a critical technology for cloud-based live video workflows and connectivity.
Founded in 2004 by Haivision Chairman, President and CEO, Miroslav (Mirko) Wicha, Haivision is headquartered in Montreal and Chicago, with offices, sales, and support located throughout the Americas, Europe and Asia.
